Since 1956, the Ford Chicago Stamping Plant has been responsible for stamping (or shaping) metal sheets to form various vehicle components, including hoods, fenders, and bumpers. The plant spans 139 acres in size and is situated on the border between Chicago Heights and Ford Heights in southern Cook County, employing over 1,000 employees as of April 2024.
