Celebrating its third generation as a family-owned restaurant, Joe's Hot Dogs was constructed in 1964 by Joe and Mary LaRose. The business began as a hot dog cart in 1953 on Eastern Avenue in Joliet. It was known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, which Joe grew to love while growing up in his Sicilian-American household in Chicago. Today, his granddaughter Jill runs the business. Visit the restaurant Monday through Saturday from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm and until 9:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
