Lazier Garage

SE Corner Main Street and 4th Street Rochelle, IL 61068
The Lazier Garage was constructed circa 1910. The building housed an auto repair shop and garage on the first floor, and a dance hall on the second floor. By 1919, the second floor was occupied by the Knights of Columbus fraternal organization, who rented out their space at night for dancing. In the late 1970s, ownership was transferred to a business known as "The Garage." It was a "meeting and eating place" with a first floor restaurant and second floor meeting hall. By 1990, the Loyal Order of the Moose purchased the property and utilized the former garage as the Moose Family Center.
