The DeKalb Lincoln Highway Gazebo features panels that showcase the history of DeKalb, the Lincoln Highway, and the early transcontinental travelers who used the highway. The gazebo was constructed in 2009 as part of the Interpretive Gazebo Project through a National Scenic Byway Grant from the Federal Highway Administration, with support from the City of DeKalb. The Lincoln Highway Gazebos mark the Illinois section of the highway, which is the only portion of the Lincoln Highway designated a National Scenic Byway in its entirety. Also included on the site is an Art Deco-style concrete marker. Installed in 2009, the marker is a replica of the original markers that were located in municipalities along the route.
