Lincoln Highway Gazebo - Fulton

10th Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Streets Fulton, IL 61252
Located along the original route of the Lincoln Highway, the Fulton Lincoln Highway Gazebo features interpretive panels that illustrate the history of Fulton as a Dutch immigrant community, the 1916 road race, and the former Lyons-Fulton Bridge spanning the Mississippi River. The gazebo was constructed in 2009 as part of the Interpretive Gazebo Project, funded through a National Scenic Byway Grant from the Federal Highway Administration, with support from the City of Fulton. The Lincoln Highway Gazebos mark the Illinois section of the highway, which is the only portion of the Lincoln Highway designated as a National Scenic Byway in its entirety.
