The Park Forest Lincoln Highway gazebo features interpretive panels that illustrate the history of the Village of Park Forest, the origins of the Lincoln Highway, and historic travel tips for Lincoln Highway travelers. It can be accessed from the 112th Street Metra Station Parking Lot 3, located near the intersection of the Lincoln Highway and Indiana Street in Park Forest. The gazebo was constructed in 2009 as part of the Interpretive Gazebo Project, funded through a National Scenic Byway Grant from the Federal Highway Administration, with support from the Village of Park Forest. In conjunction with the Lincoln Highway Murals, the Gazebos mark the Illinois section of the highway, in celebration of its designation as a National Scenic Byway.
