Geneva's Lincoln Highway mural depicts the history of Geneva as the connection between Fox River Valley communities and the Lincoln Highway. The city catered to tourists with an abundance of garages, hotels, and restaurants located within Downtown Geneva and the Third Street commercial corridor. The mural was completed in 2012 as part of a National Scenic Byway Grant from the Federal Highway Administration with support from the City of Geneva. The Lincoln Highway Murals mark the Illinois section of the highway, which is the only portion of the Lincoln Highway designated a National Scenic Byway in its entirety. The mural was created by Shaw Craft Sign Co., founded by artist Jay Allen.
