The Morrison Lincoln Highway Mural depicts the 1921 Whiteside County Fair and illustrates the historic way that the Lincoln Highway served as a major connection between local rural and metropolitan communities. The mural was completed in 2011 as part of a National Scenic Byway Grant from the Federal Highway Administration with support from the City of Morrison. The Lincoln Highway Murals mark the Illinois section of the highway, which is the only portion of the Lincoln Highway designated as a National Scenic Byway in its entirety. The mural was created by Shaw Craft Sign Co., founded by artist Jay Allen.
