Located within the historic Park Forest shopping center, this mural illustrates the connection between the Lincoln Highway and its namesake, President Abraham Lincoln. The mural was completed in 2012 as part of a National Scenic Byway Grant from the Federal Highway Administration with support from the Village of Park Forest. The Lincoln Highway Murals mark the Illinois section of the highway, which is the only portion of the Lincoln Highway designated as a National Scenic Byway in its entirety. The mural was created by Shaw Craft Sign Co., founded by artist Jay Allen.
