This Mid-Continent Petroleum Co. Filling Station was constructed in 1930 as one of three such stations constructed by contractor Harry Harshman in the Sterling-Rock Falls area. It is a "House with Canopy" style gas station, characterized by a small building that features a prominent canopy to shelter drivers while pumping gas. The building was occupied by the businesses Wright & Boze Filling Station (until the late 1940s) and Andy's D-X Service Station (beginning in 1959).
