The Parkview Roller Rink opened in February 1955, operated by Edward G. Hollenbeck, who managed the establishment until the early 1980s.It is situated within a historically significant entertainment and recreation hub along the Lincoln Highway in Aurora, which includes Parkside Lanes and Sport Zone, as well as the now-demolished Hi-Lite 30 Drive-In movie theater. After Hollenbeck, the business was renamed the Aurora Skate Center. Since that time, it has been the home of the Aurora 88 roller derby league, a female-driven roller derby team. Some teams that are associated with the league are the Glamazons, Hard Core Corruption, and the Divas de las Muertas. The Aurora Skate Center is also a member of the Roller Skating Association of America
