Constructed between 1939 and 1946, this building was originally a D-X Service Station. While service stations were predominantly auto-focused, this building uniquely featured a small storefront that housed Dial's Grocery. Clarence Dial owned the business until 1964 when he sold it to Ray Meyers. Meyers closed the service station to open another location of his Aurora-based chain restaurant, Ray's Barbeque, first established in 1924. Subsequently, he also opened a mobile home park, first known as Meyers Mobile Park. Today, Meyers' legacy lives on at Rudy's Place, a barbecue restaurant.
