Constructed between 1938 and 1940, this station was the home of Sebby's Phillips 66. It is a two-bay auto filling and service station located at the busy corner of Ottawa Street and IL Route 59/Lincoln Highway in Plainfield. The style of the building reflects the modest wartime design utilized by the company. In later years, Phillips 66 would create flashy designs in keeping with the trends of the Age of the Automobile during the late 1950s. This is reflected in the history of Sebby's, which relocated in 1958 to a modern gas station on Joliet Road/Lincoln Highway, previously featured in this segment.
