The Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Clock was commissioned in 1921 by the citizens of DeKalb to honor those who served in World War I. The one-of-a-kind clock was manufactured by the E. Howard & Company of Boston, Massachusetts, of cast iron and porcelain. The clock was restored in 2021 with funding from the DeKalb Rotary Club in celebration of the memorial's centennial.
