This former 156-acre farm was established c. 1862-1873 by J. Leffler. In 1953, Lois and Frank Jurcak opened Valley View Farm Restaurant and a 36-acre picnic grove. The restaurant was regionally renowned for serving 85% home-grown foods, including fresh eggs, bacon, and farm-raised fried chicken, alongside their biscuits and Valley View Farm blend coffee. In the picnic grove, families could visit farm animals, play in the playground, have a game of baseball, and use the restroom. Today, the former farmhouse restaurant has been converted into the offices of Frankfort Township.
